Support Rhema School's New Classrooms by Helping Us Purchase Desks

Education shapes the future, but it needs the right environment to thrive. Rhema School has recently completed a new block of four classrooms, a significant step toward providing better learning spaces for our students. However, these classrooms are still missing a crucial element: desks. Without desks, students cannot fully benefit from the new facilities.



Why Desks Matter for Students


Desks are more than just furniture. They create a space where students can focus, write, and engage actively in lessons. Sitting comfortably at a desk improves posture and concentration, which leads to better learning outcomes. When classrooms lack desks, students often sit on the floor or share limited seating, which can distract them and reduce their ability to participate fully.


At Rhema School, the new classrooms are spacious and well-built, there are a few temporary desks but not for longterm use. Each classroom needs 21 desks to accommodate all students comfortably. That means the entire new block requires 84 desks.


The Cost of Furnishing the New Classrooms


Each desk costs 70,000 Ugandan shillings (UGX). £1 ~ 4,900 UGX.

For 84 desks, the total amount needed is:


  • 70,000 UGX per desk

  • 21 desks per classroom

  • 4 classrooms in the new block


Total cost: 70,000 UGX × 84 desks = 5,880,000 UGX.


This is a very challenging task for the school to raise on its own. Your support can help bridge this gap and ensure that the classrooms become fully functional learning spaces.
